Coming Soon: Connected Blood Coolers

In early 2023, MaxQ will launch a new version of the MaxPlus Blood Coolers with advanced capabilities to simplify the blood issuance process and achieve the highest compliance.

This next-generation blood cooler contains continuous temperature logging, cloud data storage, and a comprehensive cooler management software platform.

As we launch this new Connected Cooler, MaxQ will retire its current generation MaxPlus Alpha Coolers and MaxPlus Vaccine Coolers. Read more about the product discontinuation below:

Product Discontinuation Notice

Beginning January 15, 2023, we will no longer sell the current MaxPlus Alpha Coolers or MaxPlus Vaccine Coolers with temperature monitoring. The reason for this discontinuation notice is because we will be launching the next generation of MaxPlus Connected Blood Coolers that will replace our current MaxTemp hardware and software.

Current customers of any MaxPlus Alpha Coolers or MaxPlus Vaccine Coolers with temperature monitoring will receive full product support and recalibration services until October 2023. The newest temperature monitoring system (digital data logger and software) is backwards compatible and will work with your existing coolers.

Customer Impact and Recommended Action

Customers using any affected SKUs will receive full product support and recalibration services until October 2023.

The newest, most user-friendly temperature monitoring system is backward compatible and will work with your existing coolers. We recommend customers upgrade to the new system when they typically have their sensors recalibrated.  To achieve a smooth transition, a MaxQ customer support representative will be on standby to assist and answer any questions as customers update the new temperature monitoring system.

Important Dates

  • January 15, 2023 – MaxQ will no longer accept purchase orders or sell the affected SKUs
  • October 1, 2023 – MaxQ will no longer provide recalibration services or support the affected SKUs temperature monitoring hardware or the MaxTemp application (IOS | Android | Windows 10).
